TOLEDO, Ohio- The Badgers women's golf team played a final 18 holes on Tuesday to finish off their appearance at the Glass City Invitational.
Overall, the team finished in 10th place with a plus-41 905. Moving up one spot on the leader board from Monday with a final round score of 18-over-par 296, the team improved its score by 10 strokes from the second round on Monday.
In an impressive debut for the Badgers, freshman
Emily Lauterbach kept the team lead through all three rounds, finishing tied for 19th after a two-over-par round of 74. She finished the tournament with a 222 six over par, carding nine birdies over the 54-hole tournament.
Highlighting Tuesday's competition, junior
Claire Fitzgerald snuck up the leader board 19 positions from Monday to finish tied for 26th after shooting a one-under-par round of 71 during the final round at Inverness Country Club. She improved six strokes from her second round on Monday.
The team continues its season as it hosts the East-West Matchplay Challenge at University Ridge this upcoming Sunday - Tuesday.
