1. A LOOK BACK: Despite several chances in the first half of play, Wisconsin couldn't sneak a goal past No. 5 UCLA's goaltender ultimately falling 0-1 in Saturday's match last weekend.
Lauren Rice and Dani Rhodes each attempted a couple scoring opportunities while keeper Jordyn Bloomer kept the Badgers in the game with four clutch saves and missing only the one to put UCLA up.
2. OT, OT, BIG TEN OT: In four of the five last years, UW has gone into overtime during their Big Ten Conference season openers.
Wisconsin played a double-overtime 1-1 draw with Northwestern at home last season and another double-overtime opener against Ohio State in 2016 ending in a 2-2 draw. UW won its OT home opener against Minnesota in 2017 1-0 and its 2-1 OT game against Michigan State in 2014.

The only loss and the only match that didn't hit overtime was a 4-0 setback in 2015 against then No. 7 Penn State.
3. WE HAVE HISTORY: The Badgers met the Terrapins and the Scarlet Knights on home turf in the same September weekend last season.
Both matches ended in consecutive double-overtime 0-0 draws. Wisconsin finished their 2018 season with five double-overtimes, but they tally just one right now against Loyola earlier this September.
UW is 2-0-2 against Maryland and 2-1-1 against Rutgers.

UW holds one more home match against Michigan on Thursday, Oct. 3. before hitting the road again. Thursday's match against Michigan will be Rose Lavelle Day at McClimon.
