MADISON, Wis. — Winners of five in a row and ten straight Big Ten games dating back to last season, the ninth-ranked Badgers host Maryland on Monday night at the Kohl Center. Tip is set for 6 p.m. (CT) on FS1.

Since head coach Greg Gard took over, Wisconsin is 61-35 (.635) in Big Ten play, owning the 3rd-best record in the conference, trailing only Michigan State (.719) and Purdue (.701).

THE STARTING FIVE

1) LET'S GO STREAKING: A win over Maryland would give Wisconsin 11 straight Big Ten wins for the first time since winning 11 in a row during the team's 1941 National Championship season.

2) SHOOT YOUR SHOT: Wisconsin ranks 11th in the NCAA shooting 41.8% from 3-point range this season, averaging 9.1 triples per game. Led by Micah Potter (50.0% 3FG), each of UW's starters averages 1+ made 3FG per game. All five starters have made at least nine triples this season.

3) NO PLACE LIKE HOME: Wisconsin has won 86.0% (319-52) of its games at the Kohl Center all-time. That ranks as the 9th-best win percentage for any Division I team in its current home venue.

4) D-FENSE! D-FENSE! The Badgers continue to stifle opponents on defense, leading the Big Ten allowing just 59.6 ppg this season and ranking second in field goal percentage defense (37.5%). UW ranks 4th in the country in Ken Pomeroy's Adjusted Defensive Efficiency. In fact, Wisconsin is one of just two teams in the country to rank among the nation's top 10 in both offensive (9th) and defensive (4th) efficiency according to KenPom.

5) BADGERS DON'T BEAT THEMSELVES: Wisconsin 2nd in the nation averaging only 8.3 turnovers per game. Dating back to last season, the Badgers have committed 11 or fewer turnovers in 27 consecutive games. UW hasn't had more than 11 turnovers in a game since finishing with 14 vs. Rider on Dec. 31, 2019.
