Wisconsin Head Coach Greg Gard
On his team and the position they've put themselves in:
"I think it's a credit to our guys. There's nowhere else that you look to than those guys in that locker room and what they've done and how they've unified, bonded together, played for each other and played for what's on the front of their jerseys. They've done it in such an unselfish manner that they don't care who leads us in scoring. The 'X' number of games we had, we've had different leading scorers all the time. I think that just shows you not only the uniqueness of this team, because we do it by committee. But also, the unselfishness of this group.
"They're sitting still with a shot and with a chance to get a piece of [a Big Ten title], so they've handled things in a very mature, appropriate way. They've walked through this season day-by-day and handled all the challenges that have come at them, both internally and externally, in a right manner and it's paid off. It's been a great life lesson experience for them that if you stay true to who you are and stick together and help the guy to your right and your left a lot of good things can happen.
"This group has gone through more than any team I have ever been around…I can't be more proud of what they've accomplished to this point and the neat thing is that they want more. They're excited, preparing and already looking to how we're going to play on Wednesday… They don't get caught up in the success they've had, they're hungry for more and that's the fun part about these guys is to watch them come together and have that mentality."
Redshirt Junior Brad Davison
On what the difference has been with the team over its winning streak:
"I just think we're very connected, especially offensively. The ball is moving really fluidly, and we have a lot of different weapons that makes it a very challenging assignment for teams to defend. When you have a lot of weapons, one person can have an off game, but you have three, four, five or six other guys who can pick up that slack. It's all been about consistency and sticking together through everything."
On how senior Brevin Pritzl is closing out his career:
"He's been huge for us. When he's playing confidently, he's the best shooter in the country. We always tell him that. Not only is he searching for those looks, but we're searching for him to have those looks. We think every time he shoots it's going in, whether that's at the beginning or end of the game. It's been huge for us... being his senior year, he wants to leave it all on the floor."
Graduate Student Brevin Pritzl
On how the team was able to withstand Minnesota's second-half rally:
"We've been there many times this year. If you look at early in the season, we were in a bunch of close games down the stretch. We're battle tested at this point. We've been in battles and we've found ways to win. That's what it was about today. We got enough stops when we needed them, executed plays when coach Gard called them, and we found a way to win."
