Heiligenthal leads the way for Badgers

Five set PRs on day two of Larry Wieczorek Invitational
IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Badgers competed in the second day of the Larry Wieczorek Invitational with sophomore Victoria Heiligenthal leading the way with a first-place finish and personal record in the 1-mile run. The Badgers also tallied an additional four personal records in their respective events as Wisconsin finished in second place with a total score of 106.
Peyton Sippy came in behind Heiligenthal to secure a third-place finish with a time of 4:59.47.
Sophomore Taylor Gilling came in behind Robbins, placing fourth with a personal record time of 7.59.
Colorado-native Madison Mooney secured silver in the 800-meter run with a personal record time of 2:11.19, beating her previous time of 2:12.53Â by more than a second, which she ran at the Meyo Invitational last year.
Junior Danielle Bellino came in less than one-tenth of a second behind Mooney with a personal record time of 2:11.27.Â
Freshman Anna Schoesser made her Badger debut in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:15.50.Â
Bianca Stubler placed fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:12.33.Â
Diamond Black placed fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 38-2.Â
The Wisconsin 'A' relay consisting of Bianca Stubler, Danielle Bellino, Taylor Gilling and Ali Dorn placed fifth in a time of 3:46.82.
Ali Dorn placed sixth in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line in a time of 56.23.

Heiligenthal leads the way
Michigan-native Heiligenthal won the 1-mile run with a personal record time of four minutes, 57.35 seconds. Heiligenthal shed more than five seconds off of her previous time of 5:02.88 that she ran at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational last year.ÂPeyton Sippy came in behind Heiligenthal to secure a third-place finish with a time of 4:59.47.
Personal Records
Freshman Kiley Robbins continues to be a standout for the Badger sprinters as she placed second in the 60-meter dash finals with a personal record time of 7.46 seconds.ÂSophomore Taylor Gilling came in behind Robbins, placing fourth with a personal record time of 7.59.

Top-ten finishes
Destiny Huven secured silver in the 60-meter hurdles finals with a time of 8.50. Huven also placed eighth in the 60-meter dash finals with a time of 7.69.Bianca Stubler placed fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:12.33.Â
Diamond Black placed fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 38-2.Â
