Wisconsin send sprints and jumps to Jimmy Grant Invitational

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's and women's track and field teams send select sprinters, hurdlers, and long jumpers to the Jimmy Grant Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa, on Saturday. Field events begin at 10 a.m. and running events starting at 3 p.m.

1. 60-meter hurdles: Junior Destiney Huven, sophomore Davis Wenthe, and freshman Cailyn Biegalski will compete in the 60-meter hurdles. Huven was the first female Badger to win the 100-meter hurdles at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships last year, running a personal best time of 13.02 seconds. Wenthe will utilize this race as preparation for his main event this outdoor season, the 400-meter hurdles. During his freshman year, Wenthe qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Round. Both the men's and women's hurdle preliminaries take place at 3 p.m.
2. 60-meter dash / 200-meter dash: Five badgers are scheduled to compete in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash, including Kiley Robbins and Max Peckenschneider. Last year, Robbins broke the 60-meter indoor and 100-meter outdoor school records and qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Round. Peckenshneider was a member of the sixth-place 4x100-meter relay at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships. The 60-meter dash begins at 3:40 p.m. and the 200 meter takes off at 5:25 p.m.
3. 300-meter dash: Wenthe and Colin Enz are scheduled to represent Wisconsin in the 300-meter dash. Last season, Enz primarily competed in the 400-meter dash as well as the 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay. Enz and Wenthe will take off at 3:40 p.m.
4. Women's long jump: Armoni Brown is the lone Badger to represent Wisconsin in the long jump this Saturday. Last season, she qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Round as a member of the 4X100-meter relay in addition to placing 13th in the long jump at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships. The event takes place at 1 p.m.
5. Women's triple jump: Junior Diamond Black kicks off her jumping season this Saturday competing in the women's triple jump at 4 p.m.
