Nine Badgers finish in top 10

Nine Badgers place in the top-10 on the final day of the B1G Invitational
IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Wisconsin men's track and field team concluded the Hawkeye B1G Invitational on Saturday afternoon with eight Badgers earning top-10 finishes. Â
In the premier 3000 meters, five Badgers finished in the top 10. Redshirt freshman Rowen Ellenberg was the first Badger to cross the finish line, securing silver in 7:58.32 while junior Charlie Wheeler finished third in 7:58.42. Ellenberg and Wheller rank third and fourth in the Big Ten, respectively, with their times.
Olin Hacker was the third Badger, running 8:02.30 to place sixth. Jack Meijer was just behind Hacker, placing eighth in 8:02.79. Bob Liking rounded out the effort, placing 10th in 8:11.66.
In the throws, Dan Ufearo placed seventh in the weight throw with a toss of 62-5 1/4, only five inches off his personal best. In the shot put, Andrew Stone placed sixth in the shot put with a throw of 56-1.

Six Badgers place well on track
Freshman Davis Wenthe locked in a third-place finish in the 600-meter run, where he crossed the line in 1 minute, 20.51 seconds.In the premier 3000 meters, five Badgers finished in the top 10.
