GENEVA, Ohio - The Wisconsin women's track and field team is in sixth place with 11 points after the first day of the Big Ten Indoor Championships. Minnesota leads the team race after four events with 37 points while Nebraska (26 points) and Michigan (25) sit second and third, respectively. The Badgers picked up points in the weight throw and distance medley relay on Thursday.
The DMR consisting of Alissa Niggemann, Morgan Parzych, Danielle Bellino and Madison Mooney crossed the line in 11 minutes, 20.74 second to secure a fourth-place finish. Niggemann started it off for the Badgers, running the 1200-meter leg in 3:32.5. Parzych got the hand off from Niggemann, runnning 400 meters in 54.8 as Bellino geared up to run the third leg. Bellino completed the 800-meter leg in 2:10.4 before Mooney finished it off for the Badgers, running the 1600-meter leg in 4:42.0 to secure the fourth-place finish.
Bianca Stubler and Ali Dorn both qualified for the 600-meter finals after placing in the top five in the preliminary round. Stubler won her heat and placed third overall in a personal best time of 1:30.25. Her time ranks fifth on the UW indoor performance list. Sophomore Dorn also won her heat and placed fifth overall in a personal best time of 1:30.80. Her time ranks seventh on the UW performance list. The 600-meter run finals will be held on Saturday at 3:55 p.m. CT.

Top-5 finishes
Redshirt freshman Chloe Lindeman secured a bronze medal in the weight throw. The Fulton, Illinois, native threw a personal best of 68 feet, 7 3/4 inches, beating her previous mark of 67-1 1/2, which she threw earlier this season at the Hawkeye B1G Invitational. Qualified Badgers

The Milwaukee native will compete in the finals on Saturday at 3:45 p.m. CT.Bianca Stubler and Ali Dorn both qualified for the 600-meter finals after placing in the top five in the preliminary round.
