GENEVA, Ohio - The Wisconsin men's track and field team completed the third and final day of the Big Ten Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday at the Spire Institute. Five Badgers placed top-8 in their respective events to earn points for the team, as well as the 4x400-meter relay. The men's team finished eighth overall, tallying 44 points. Iowa took the Big Ten title, racking up 119 points, more than 25 points ahead of runner-up Indiana that tallied 92 points.
Sophomore Andrew Stone threw a personal record throw of 61-00 in the shot put finals which earned him a fifth-place finish. The Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin, native's throw moves him up to No.6 on Wisconsin's all-time indoor performance list.
Senior Austin Rendon secured a sixth-place finish in the 800-meter finals, crossing the line in 1:51.54.
Sophomore Jackson Sharp and graduate student Olin Hacker both earned points for the Badgers in the 5,000-meter run. Sharp sped past the line in 13:49.16, placing first for the Badgers and sixth overall. Hacker came in not far behind, placing second for the Badgers and eighth overall in a time of 13:52.20.Â
The 4x400-meter relay consisting of Davis Wenthe, Abdullahi Hassan, Quinn Lansill and Colin Enz placed sixth overall, with running the final lap for the Badgers and crossing the line in 3:12.41.Â

Sophomore Lawrence Johnson placed fourth in the 60-meter dash finals, speeding past the finish line in 6.76 seconds. Four Badgers earned first-team All-Big Ten honors -- Shuaib Aljabaly, Colin Enz, Ansel Fellman and Jackson Sharp while Rowen Ellenberg earned second-team All-Big Ten honors.Up Next
