FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Abdullahi Hassan, Jordan Hirsbrunner and Josie Schaefer travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to compete in the NCAA Indoor Championship at the Randal Tyson Track Center beginning on Thursday. Hirsbrunner competes on Thursday in the women's pentathlon, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Schaefer compete in the women's shot put on Friday, beginning at 11 a.m. Hassan competes in the men's 800-meter semifinals at 2:55 p.m. on Friday with the finals at 2:40 p.m. on Saturday.

SCHAEFER SHINES: Redshirt junior Josie Schaefer was unable to compete in the Big Ten Indoor Championships due to contact tracing for COVID but she'll be ready to go this weekend. Schaefer set the Big Ten and UW record in the shot put at the Badger Icebreaker in January with a throw of 59 feet, 4 1/4 inches. The Baraboo, Wisconsin, native sits at No.2 in the NCAA, behind Arizona's Samantha Noennig's throw of 59-10 1/2. Schaefer qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championship last year, but the meet was canceled due to COVID.
HIRSBRUNNER DOES IT ALL: Redshirt junior Jordan Hirsbrunner holds the No.2 spot in the Big Ten from her performance at the Big Ten Indoor Championship where she brought home a silver medal and racked up 3,963 points. Hirsbrunner sits at No.6 on Wisconsin's all-time indoor performance list from her performance last season at the Big Ten Indoor Championship where she tallied 4,045 points. The Monroe, Wisconsin, native sits at No.15 in the NCAA heading into the meet.
FRESHMAN FURY: Freshman Abdullahi Hassan is the lone underclassman that qualified to compete in the NCAA Indoor Championship for the Badgers. The Toronto, Ontario, native sits at No.2 in the Big Ten, behind Indiana's Cooper Williams, and holds the No.8 spot on Wisconsin's all-time indoor performance list for the 800-meter run with a personal record time of 1:48.61. Hassan sits at No.17 in the NCAA going into the meet.
