EVANSTON, Il. – Xinyu Cai headlined the afternoon with a ranked singles victory, but the Wisconsin women's tennis team fell as a team, 6-1, at No. 7 Northwestern on Sunday.
 
Cai earned the lone point for the Badgers (3-4, 2-3 Big Ten), but made it a big one by knocking off No. 57 Julie Bryne in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
 
Up Next, the Badgers return home to host Rutgers on Friday at Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. CT.
