PONTIAC, Michigan – Emma Jaskaniec scored in the 21st minute to lead the Wisconsin women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Michigan at the UWS Sports Complex in Pontiac, Michigan.

A sophomore from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Jaskaniec scored her first goal of the year and her third career tally in the middle of the first half off an assist from senior Cameron Murtha to give UW (2-1-0) its first road win of the year.

2019 first-team All-American Jordyn Bloomer made five saves against Michigan (1-1-0), including four in the final 45 minutes, to earn her second win and shutout of the year. Bloomer, who was named to the watch list for the Mac Hermann Award, now has 21 shutouts and 31 wins during her UW career.

Notes To Know:
- This marks the Badgers' second 1-0 win of the 2021 season as UW blanked Iowa, 1-0, back on Feb. 20.
- Wisconsin had four corner kicks to Michigan's two.
- Halle Fiedler and Gabby Green each made their first career starts for the Badgers.
- This marks UW's second-straight win over the Wolverines and UW's first win at Michigan since Nov. 6, 2005.
- UW now leads the series against Michigan 15-13-6.
