Wisconsin earns 4-0 dual match win over Purdue

MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin men's tennis team put together a dominant performance on Sunday, earning a 4-0 dual-match victory over Purdue on Sunday at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

The Badgers (4-8,4-7 Big Ten) jumped out to an early lead by winning the doubles point. UW's freshman duo of Tim Dzhurinskiy and Mihailo Popovic were the first to win their match, 6-2, at Court 3. Jared Pratt and Robin Parts clinched the doubles point for Wisconsin by locking in their 7-6(7-3) at No. 1 doubles.

In singles, all three of Wisconsin's victors locked in straight-set wins . No. 86 Robert Krill swept Purdue's Milledge Cossu, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5. Dzhurinskiy earned the third point for Wisconsin with his 6-3, 6-4 win at the sixth position. Pratt sealed the dual match win for Wisconsin with his 6-2, 6-4 victory over Michal Wozniak at No. 2.
