EAST LANSING, Mich. – Wisconsin men's soccer capped off road play in the Big Ten with a 4-1 loss to Michigan State.

The Spartans got on the board early off a shot from the left side of the box in the 8th minute.

The Badgers saw their lone goal come on a long free kick set piece. Forward Henri
Tophoven found fellow junior Andrew
Akindele, who perfectly placed a header into the far side. The score gives
Akindele his third on the season.

Michigan State scored again on a set piece in the 27th minute and added another late in the first half in the 41st minute on of a penalty kick. The final tally for the Spartans came in the 85th minute.

Carter Abbott snagged three saves in the contest, which gives him 15 over the last three matches.

With three corner kick attempts in the final 90 seconds of play, Wisconsin won that statistical category 4-3. Michigan State
outshot UW 13-6 and 7-3 on goal.
