MADISON, Wis. - It's a busy weekend for the Wisconsin men's track and field team as Badger sprinters and field athletes travel to Prairie View, Texas, to compete in the Husker B1G Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Badger distance runners travel to Bloomington, Indiana, to compete in the B1G Invite #3 on Friday.
Running events for the B1G Invite #3 begin at 6 p.m. The Husker B1G Invitational begins at 10 a.m. on Friday with field events while running events start at 5 p.m. On Saturday, events starts at 11 a.m. with field events while running events begin at 1 p.m.

1. 1500-METER RUN: Jackson Sharp, Austin Rendon and Nick Hruskoci will compete in the 1500-meter run this weekend. Sharp broke the four-minute threshold in the mile during the indoor season, running the race in 3 minutes, 59.25 seconds at the Hawkeye Invitational. The trio will compete on Friday at 6:15 p.m. CT.Â
2. 5,000-METER RUN: The 5,000 meters will be loaded for the Badgers with three of UW's top distance runners scheduled to compete. Big Ten cross country runner-up Rowen Ellenberg along with Olin Hacker and Bob Liking are part of the field. All three are scheduled to compete in the faster heat, which will start at approximately 7:45 p.m. CT.
3. 100-METER DASH: Lawrence Johnson has quickly shown that he is a force to be reckon with as a sprinter for the Badgers. Johnson competed in the 100-meter dash at the Florida B1G Invite and placed sixth, crossing the line in 10.46. This was the first time Johnson had competed in this race for the Badgers and he will get another shot this weekend at the Husker B1G Invitational.Â
4. THROWS: Cole Hooper and Dan Ufearo will compete in the hammer throw at the Husker B1G Invitational. Both competed in the first outdoor meet of the season and both placed among the top five.Â
5. LONG JUMP: Peyton Frankenreider will compete in the long jump this weekend. Frankenreider jumped a new personal best during the first outdoor meet of the season, clearing 23 feet, 10 1/4 inches.
