MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin men's track and field team travels to Champaign, Illinois, to compete in the Fighting Illini B1G Relays on Friday and Saturday. Men's field events start at 1:30 p.m. on Friday with the long jump and running events begin at 1:50 p.m. with the steeplechase. On Saturday, men's field events begin at 9 a.m. with the hammer throw and running events follow at 1:15 p.m. with the 4x800-meter relay

1. PEYTON PLACE: Peyton Frankenreider is scheduled to compete in both the long jump and triple jump this weekend, looking to move up on the Big Ten. He has season bests of 23 feet, 2 3/4 inches in the long jump at 47-4 1/2.Â
2. SHOWING OFF YOUR TAN: Tannor Wagner is scheduled to compete in the 800 meters this weekend after running a personal best of 1:52.96 at the B1G Invite #3 last weekend.Â
3. HURDLING WENTHE: Freshman Davis Wenthe currently ranks fifth in the Big Ten in the 400-meter hurdles, running 51.59 earlier this season. The rookie has run the race only two times in his career, looking to move up in the conference.
4. HAMMERING AWAY: Dan Ufearo and Cole Hooper have both recorded personal bests in the hammer throw this season. Hooper, a freshman, had a massive throw of 190 feet, 3 inches to put him at No.6 on Wisconsin's all-time outdoor performance list. Ufearo snagged the No.7 spot with a huge mark of 189-11. Sophomore Andrew Stone will also be competing this weekend in the shot put after taking fifth at the Big Ten Indoor Championship in the shot put with a throw of 61-00.Â
5. RELAY SATURDAY: Saturday's events include a number of relays not usually run. In addition to the usual 4x100 and 4x400 relays, teams will also compete in the 4x800, 4x1600, sprint medley, and distance medley relays.
