Badgers playing Minnesota Duluth in preseason warmup
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's hockey team will skate against Minnesota Duluth on Sunday, Oct. 3 at Chippewa Area Ice Arena. The scrimmage takes place at 1 p.m.
Expect a mix of scrimmaging, special teams work and other potential drills.
With the NCAA passing a one-year waiver for college hockey teams to take on an NCAA opponent in a non-countable game, the Badgers and Bulldogs will meet approximately halfway and get in some preseason preparations.
Tickets will be available for $10 on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Chippewa Area Ice Arena and online beginning Thursday at Chippewahockey.org.
All proceeds will benefit the Chippewa Youth Hockey Association Kids on Ice Endowment Fund.
Wisconsin officially opens its season on Friday, Oct. 8, against Michigan Tech at the Kohl Center in what will mark UW's first contest in the building since a 6-2 victory over Arizona State on Feb. 22, 2020.
