Tyson Dyck scores lone Badger goal to extend point streak to seven games
MINNEAPOLIS – Despite owning a 1-0 lead midway through the first period, the No. 8/7 Wisconsin men's hockey team couldn't find a response to four unanswered Minnesota Golden Gopher goals, losing 4-1, on Friday night at 3M Arena at Mariucci.
Wisconsin (15-8-2, 8-7-0 Big Ten - 22 points) opened the scoring with a little luck at 12:06, on a power-play goal by Tyson Dyck. Minnesota (9-16-1, 5-10-0 - 17 points) evened the score at one with a power-play goal of its own at 16:08. The Gophers scored two quick goals in the second, one on the power play at 9:19 and another even strength at 11:08, to take a 3-1 lead heading into the third frame. The Gophers added an empty-net goal, 16:35 into the third period, to seal a 4-1 victory.
