ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The fifth-ranked Wisconsin women's hockey team opened up its series at St. Cloud State with a 5-0 win over the Huskies on Friday at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.
Nicole LaMantia posted two goals in the second-straight game for the Badgers (6-1-0, 3-0-0-0-0-0 WCHA) while
Lacey Eden,
Caroline Harvey and
Jesse Compher also scored against the Huskies (2-3-0, 0-3-0-0-0-0 WCHA).
After a quiet first period, LaMantia got things started for the Badgers, scoring her fourth of the year to put UW up 1-0 in the second.
Not long after, Eden scored off the rebound to double UW's lead to 2-0.
Harvey joined in on the fun less than two minutes later, celebrating her birthday with a goal to extend the lead 3-0.
LaMantia started off yet another period with a goal, tallying her second of the night to put UW up 4-0 with 16:23 left in the third.
Compher capped off the scoring for UW with a laser with 1:08 left in the third, marking her fifth goal of the season.

Cami Kronish earned her third win of the year and her third-straight shutout as the senior stopped all 10 shots she faced.
- The Badgers outshot the Huskies 50-10, marking the fourth time this year UW has launched 50+ shots on net in a game.
