Badgers best Blugolds in exhibition matchup

Wisconsin earns 76-45 win over Eau Claire
MADISON, Wis. – Badger Basketball returned to the Kohl Center and unofficially tipped off the 2022-2023 season with a 76-45 exhibition win over UW-Eau Claire on Sunday at the Kohl Center.
Junior forward Steven Crowl led the way offensively for the Badgers scoring a team-high 14 points and also grabbing a team-high six rebounds.
Senior forward Tyler Wahl stood out with an all-around game for UW, finishing with 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block.
Freshman guard Connor Essegian rounded out UW's double-digit scorers with 10 points.
UW shot 49.1 percent from the floor on the day, while holding the Blugolds to just 30.8 percent shooting.
Wisconsin officially tips off its season on Nov. 7 hosting South Dakota at the Kohl Center. Tickets can be purchased at uwbadgers.com, and the game will be televised on Big Ten Network.
