MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's basketball team returned home to the Kohl Center and earned a 56-45 win over in-state foe Green Bay on Tuesday night.
Junior guard Jordan Davis led the way offensively for the Badgers scoring a team-high 11 points and adding three rebounds, two steels, and one block on the night.
Junior guard Max Klesmit had an impressive all-around game for the Badgers, finishing with nine points, five rebounds, one assists, and two steals.
Junior forward Steven Crowl rounded out top scorers for Wisconsin finishing the night with nine points, while also filling out his stat sheet grabbing nine rebounds and adding one block.
UW rallied as a group after two of the team's top scorers Chucky Hepburn and Tyler Wahl shot a combined 4-for-25 from the field.
Wahl also spent a good portion of the game in foul trouble, which led to junior forward Carter Gilmore earning more minutes. Gilmore stepped up, matching his career-high with 5 points, plus 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal playing a season-high 21 minutes off the bench.
Despite shooting just 30.2 percent from the floor (16-53 FG), UW shot the ball well from 3-point range, finishing 8-for-19 (42.1 percent) on the night including 6-for-11 shooting from beyond the arc in the first half.
Next up, Wisconsin will travel to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament where the Badgers will open up play on Nov. 23 against Dayton.
