Wisconsin face Rutgers in quarterfinal clash
PISCATAWAY, NJ. – The Wisconsin men's soccer team travels to Yurcak Field in New Jersey this Friday to play their first Big Ten tournament game against Rutgers. The Badgers are the No. 7 seed while the Scarlet Knights are the No. 2 seed.

1. RECAPPING THE WEEK:  The Badgers (6-6-3) finished their regular season off with a statement win against No. 13 nationally-ranked Ohio State, handing them only their second loss of the year. The win also prevented the Buckeyes from winning the Big Ten title after Maryland and Indiana tied 1-1. Maxwell Keenan, Aron Eli Saevarsson and Jack Finnegan all scored in the match to seal the win for the team.

2. LOOKING BACK:Â Wisconsin faced Rutgers back on Sept. 23 in only their second Big Ten game of the season. The match resulted in an unlucky 2-0 loss for the Badgers with the team given a controversial red card that saw them play with only 10 men for the majority of the game. It was a closely contested game with the Badgers keeping up with the Scarlet Knights even with one less player.

PLAYERS TO WATCH:Â Maxwell Keenan scored his seventh goal of the season against Ohio State on Sunday making him the first player since Chris Mueller, Tom Barlow and Mike Catalano in 2017 to score seven or more goals in a season. The junior has made his presence felt in his first season with the Badgers.
Like when these two teams met earlier this season, MD Myers is still the biggest threat for Rutgers going forward. The senior has a conference-leading 13 goals, five ahead of Penn State's Peter Mangione's eight goals.

4. BIG TEN TOURNAMENT DRAW: The winner of the game between No. 7 Wisconsin and No. 2 Rutgers will play the winner of No. 3 Ohio State and No. 6 Michigan State. On the other side of the bracket No. 1 Maryland faces No. 8 Northwestern while No. 4 Indiana takes on No. 5 Penn State.
