Wisconsin set to host Suter Night on Friday, Teddy Bear Toss presented by BMO on Saturday

MADISON, Wis. — After a series sweep of Lindenwood and a restful bye week, the Badgers jump back into Big Ten conference play with a two-game series against No. 5/6 Michigan on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2-3, at the Kohl Center.

Wisconsin returns to action in a weekend full of festivities for the first time since posting a sweep over Lindenwood with 4-3 and 5-1 victories on Nov. 18-19 at the Kohl Center.

Here's six quick things to know before tuning in:

Rosters: Badgers || Michigan

1 - SUTER NIGHT: As part of 'Throwback Weekend' at the Kohl Center, the Wisconsin men's hockey program will honor the contributions of the Suter family to Badger hockey and hockey in the Madison community during their Friday night match against Michigan.

During the evening, Wisconsin men's hockey will wear Suter helmet stickers, while special pucks will be used for the game. A ceremonial puck drop featuring the core Suter family members in attendance will also be a part of the evening.

As part of the weekend's throwback theme, banners like those at the Dane County Coliseum will be hung from the third level.

2 - TEDDY BEAR TOSS: Saturday, UW will hold its annual Teddy Toss presented by BMO Bank, while longtime band director Mike Leckrone is expected to lead the Badger Band during the second intermission.

Bring your teddy bears to throw onto the ice, with all bears being donated to Toys 4 Tots!

3 - LUSCIOUS LUCIUS: Freshman forward Cruz Lucius tallied two goals and four points in UW's 5-1 victory over Lindenwood on Nov. 19, scoring the eventual game-winning goal and a second on the power play. The performance marked UW's first four-point effort since Linus Weissbach set up four goals against Ohio State on Feb. 27, 2021.

Lucius leads the Badgers with six goals and 11 points in 14 games played. He also leads with two game-winning tallies and shares the team lead with a pair of power-play markers.

4 - JUGNAUTH LIGHTS THE LAMP: Freshman defenseman Tyson Jugnauth crossed off a major career milestone with his first collegiate goal and two-point contest on Nov. 18 against Lindenwood. The goal, on the power play, broke a 3-3 third-period deadlock with seven minutes, four seconds remaining in the game. Jugnauth also helped set up the game-tying goal just over four minutes earlier. He finished the weekend with a goal and three points, all on the power play, and has points in three of the last four games.

5 - POWER KILL: Senior forward Owen Lindmark scored his second short-handed tally of the season in Wisconsin's 5-1 win over Lindenwood. Lindmark shares the current NCAA career lead with six short-handed tallies along with Canisius' Keaton Mastrodonato.

6 - URDAHL HEATS UP: Sophomore forward Zach Urdahl owns a career-long, four-game point streak after posting a goal and an assist against Lindenwood. He has three goals and five points during the streak. He had a three-game goal string before going without a goal in the last game.

HOW TO WATCH: Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Watch both games live on Bally Sports Wisconsin Extra or stream on B1G+. Follow along on Twitter and Instagram at @BadgerMHockey
