Wisconsin’s perfect doubles performance was not enough to push them past Penn

PHILADELPHIA — The Badgers gave it their all on Sunday at Hecht Tennis Center, but the Wisconsin men's tennis team (4-4) fell 5-2 on the road against Penn (4-0).

Starting off strong, the Badgers were the first on the board by claiming the doubles point. Tim Dzhurinskiy and Lenard Soha played their way to their second doubles win of the season, taking down Penn's duo of Kevin Zhu and Harsh Parikh 6-4.

Jared Pratt and Daniel Nuzhny got their second doubles win of the weekend, going unblemished as a duo on the road, and seem to have finally found their groove. The duo defeated Zach Smith and Aditya Gupta of Penn 6-2.

Soha was the lone Badger to win his singles match. After dropping a close first set, 7-5, Soha came back and fought to take the second 6-4. He closed out the match and grabbed the second Badgers point with a 6-2 performance in the third over Penn's Jason Hildebrandt.

After an idle weekend, the Badgers switch coasts and travel to face Oregon on Feb. 25 and Washington on Feb. 27.
