
Badgers with five podium finishes on day three of Big Tens

Team sits in fourth place with one day to go
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - After completing the third day of competition the men's swimming and diving team stands in fourth place at the Big Ten Championships with 564.50 points. Tonight's finals had five podium finishes.
The highest finishes of the night go to Jake Newmark and Caleb Aman who both placed third in their events. Newmark finished the 200 free in 1:33.15 and Aman finished the 400 IM in 3:41.42.
Wes Jekel made the podium in the 100 back. He placed fifth in the event in a time of 46.17
Will Myhre represented the Badgers in the finals for the 100 breast. He took sixth place in the event in a time of 52.22.
To end the day, the 200 free relay team of Isaac Casey-Hrenak, Dylan Delaney, Nico Butera and Jake Newmark placed sixth. They finished in a time of 1:18.14.
STRAIGHT FROM THE POOL DECK
Head Coach Yuri Suguiyama: "Another strong day for the Badgers with 4 podium finishes and numerous personal bests. The men have worked there way up to 4th with one day to go, but they know that this last one will be the toughest. We'll need to be at our absolute best to finish this meet. They can do it!"
