Wisconsin finishes 14th at Schenkel Invitational
STATESBORO, Ga. — Wisconsin finished the Schenkel Invitational in 14th with an 881 (+17) on Sunday afternoon. The team shot 295-288-298 over the three rounds
Griffin Barela was the top finisher for the Badgers, coming in T18 to record his 12th-career top-20 finish and his fourth this season.
Friday, March 18
Wisconsin finished round one of the Schenkel Invitational with a 295 (+7).
The Badgers were led by Cameron Huss who carded a one-under-par 71. His round included one eagle and four birdies and he currently sits tied for 23rd place.
Senior Robbie Morway had the second-lowest round of the day for Wisconsin, carding a one-over-par 73.
Saturday, March 19
The Badgers improved seven strokes from the first day, recording an even-par 288 in the second round and moving one spot up the leaderboard.
Barela turned in the team's lowest score of the round with a five-under-par 67. This ties his 18-hole career-low.
Morway also turned in a round under-par with a 71 (-1). He is currently T27.
Sunday, March 20
Wisconsin shot a 298 (+10) in the final round of the tournament.
Barela and Morway led the team in the third round, each carding a two-over-par 74.
Next up, the Badgers are headed to Awendaw, South Carolina to compete in Hootie at Bulls Bay March 27-29.
