Associate Head Coach Posegay to leave Wisconsin

Coach to take on new role with USA Swimming
MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin associate Head Coach Erik Posegay will be leaving Wisconsin to take on new role with USA Swimming as the National Junior Team Director.
The Allentown, Pennsylvania native has spent time with USA Swimming in previous years serving as an assistant women's coach for the 2015 Open Water World Championships, 2013 Duel in the Pool and 2010 Junior Pan Pacific Championships.
"For the past four years, Erik has been an invaluable part of our program and he will be sorely missed," head coach Yuri Suguiyama said. "Despite this, we're incredibly excited for Erik, Stevie, Avery, and Olivia and wish them nothing but the best as they undertake this new journey. Thank you Erik for everything you've done for Wisconsin Swimming & Diving!"
Posegay spent four seasons with the Badgers serving as as the distance free and IM coach for the team. Throughout his time as a Badger, Posegay helped coach a wealth of distance swimmers to success including Big Ten champions Jake Newmark and Paige McKenna, as well as helping crown McKenna as a national champion in the 1650 free.Associate Head Coach Erik Posegay will be leaving Wisconsin to become the National Junior Team Director at USA Swimming.
