Wisconsin falls to No. 26 Northwestern

Badgers unable to hold off Wildcats and move to 2-2 in Big Ten play
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin men's tennis team was handed its first home loss of the season, falling to No. 26-ranked Northwestern on Friday at Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The Badgers (8-9, 2-2 Big Ten) could not hold off the Wildcats (14-7, 3-2) and dropped the match 5-2.
Down 1-0 after doubles play, Tim Dhzurinskiy kept the Badgers in the match with a quick two-set win over Northwestern's Brian Berdusco at No. 6 singles, his 11th win of the season. He survived the tiebreaker to take the first set 7-6 (8-6) then dominated the second, 6-2, to put the first Wisconsin point on the board.
Robin Parts also got off to a quick start in singles play with a 6-3 first-set success. He battled but lost a tough tiebreaker in the second to Felix Nordby, who forced another set. In the third, Parts fought back-and-forth until the end and ultimately came out on top of a 7-3 tiebreaker for the victory and the second Wisconsin point of the match.
