Badgers come away with one point at home
MADISON, Wis – The Wisconsin men's soccer team controled much of the game but played to a 0-0 draw against Northern Illinois at McClimon Soccer Complex on Wednesday.
Â
Straight from the Pitch – Head Coach Neil Jones
"A little bit disappointed in a tie if I'm honest. I thought the first half was pretty even and they had some good looks, we had a couple decent looks. The second half I thought we played well. We limited them to a few chances, and had more good lucks. We are a little bit disappointed we couldn't find a goal tonight."
Â
How it happened
The Badgers took on the NIU Huskies tonight at McClimon, which resulted in a hard-fought 0-0 draw. Wisconsin once again dominated the final third but were not able to finish one of their chances. The stats reflect a similar story, with Wisconsin having 13 shots compared to NIU's four shots and the Badgers having 12 corners compared to the Huskies' six. You can tell that the Badgers have something brewing in the final third but have yet to unlock the very last piece.
