Divers competed over the weekend

LOS ANGELES – The Wisconsin men's and women's divers wrapped up their weekend of competition at the Bruin Diving Invitational on Sunday. The Badgers had three athletes that competed in the finals.

Standing out for the Badgers was sophomore Molly Hampton. Hampton was a top finisher for the Badger women, placing seventh on the platform with 439.45 points. She also placed 27th in the 1-meter prelims with 241.70 points. Senior Kit Greenberg was the top UW finisher in the women's 3-meter prelims, taking 24th with 239.40 points.

On the men's side, junior Daniel Muller led Wisconsin. Muller placed ninth in the 1-meter finals with 603.70 points followed by freshman Sebastian Lawrence, who placed 17th with 538.20 points. On the men's platform, freshman Jan Lanser placed 16th with 251.15 points while freshman Tanner Ziese was the top UW finisher on the 3-meter board with 276.60 points.

"What a fantastic competition and experience for the Wisconsin divers. Some of our crew made finals, others put up personal bests, but everyone of them improved and move the needle in the right direction. Not only is this a phenomenal competition to be a part of when you contend with Big !2, PAC 12 and various mid-major powerhouses, but you're also contending with the elements and the weather which can't be controlled. I couldn't be more proud of our kids handled it, and I look forward to the future of what our program can bring."
