Straight From The Rink
Junior Maddi Wheeler
On the weekend:

"We played well and we built off of the momentum from last weekend. We're getting chemistry and I think a lot of us are really starting to play with confidence as we get more chances at the net."

On Fill the Bowl next weekend:
"I think it's going to be really cool to play in front of a big crowd, hopefully we can sell it out. St. Cloud State is a good team so it's going to be a good test. Overall I'm just excited to have the opportunity to play in the Kohl Center."

Sophomore Jane Gervais
On the win:

"I think we played well. Overall three good periods, all 60 minutes. The word of the day was to start fast, finish strong and I think we did all of that today."

On her second career shutout:
"Any shutout usually feels pretty good… these kinds of games you don't get as many shots, but that means the team is playing really well, so it feels good all around."

Up Next:
The No. 8 Badgers welcome St. Cloud State to Madison next weekend for a Friday/Saturday showdown. UW will host its seventh FIll the Bowl game on Friday at the Kohl Center at 7 p.m. as UW looks to match its NCAA single-game attendance record of 15,359 set during the 2017 event. Fans are asked to donate new or gently used hockey equipment as UW has partnered with Madison Ice Inc. for an equipment drive. Saturday's series finale at LaBahn Arena is set for a 3 p.m. tilt.
