Head Coach Mark Johnson
On Friday's win:
"It's a good challenge and a good opportunity. We came away with a nice win and now we move to Saturday's afternoon's game."
On heading into the third period scoreless:
"It becomes a 20 minute game and now we're getting challenged. That was my message to the team going into the third. Obviously we scored early and got ourselves a dirty goal. Then it was just a matter of continuing to press."
Senior Casey O'Brien
On getting the win:
"I was really proud of our team today. I thought we were moving the puck really well. It just wasn't going and so props to every single person in our locker room today for staying positive."
Up Next: The Badgers wrap up their six-game homestand on Saturday with a 2 p.m. tilt against Bemidji State. The game is sold out, but fans can watch live on Big Ten Plus.Â
