Sixteen former Badgers find spots on final PWHL rosters

Nineteen total alum represented across PWHL rosters and staff
MADISON, Wis. – Sixteen former Wisconsin women's hockey players are among those named to the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) final rosters, the league announced Tuesday.Â
Wisconsin's 16 alumni found across the PWHL is the most of any NCAA program, with WCHA rivals Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota trailing as they have 13 and 12 alumni representing their programs.Â
Additionally, former Badgers Carla MacLeod, Stefanie McKeough and Sis Paulsen will join three of the franchises on the staff. MacLeod will head Ottawa as the bench boss, McKeough will serve as an assistant coach with Boston and Paulsen will join Minnesota as an equipment manager.Â
The league is set to begin games in January of 2024 with home openers ranging from Jan. 1 to Jan. 13.Â
