Badgers finish tied for 15th of tournament in Tucson
TUCSON, Arizona - Wisconsin women's golf completed the MountainView Collegiate on Sunday and finished 8-over for the tournament after shooting 292 on Sunday as a team and total 872 (290-290-292) after 54 holes at MountainView Golf Club.
Iowa State won the Collegiate's 17-team field at 60-under (280-265-259=804). San Jose State finished second (-27, 279-281-277=837) and Ohio State third (-22, 276-287-279=842).
Chloe Chan finished 2-under to tie for 26th place as the Badgers highest finisher, shooting 69-73-72=214. She collected nine birdies overall during the tournament including five during Friday's first round of play.
Round 3 - Sunday, March 19
Gia Feliciano turned in her strongest performance of the competition, carding a 1-under 71 and shooting four birdies on Sunday. She also improved seven strokes from her first round of play on Friday.
Chan finished second among the Badgers on Sunday with Even-par play. Teammate Emily Lauterbach finished 3-over 75 on Sunday and 1-over throughout the tourney to tie for 47th place (72-70-75=217).
Vanessa Ho completed Sunday's final round 2-over and teammate Nicole Ciskowski finishes 9-over.
Round 2 - Saturday, March 18
Lauterbach shaved two strokes off her first-day performance to finish 2-under 70 on Saturday to lead the Badgers in the second round. She collected six birdies throughout the day.
Ho and Chan both carded 1-over 73 for the Badgers, including five birdies for Ho and two for Chan. Lauterbach and Chan are also both tied for 17th overall with 2-under 142 after 36 holes of play to lead the team.
Feliciano finished 2-over 74 on Saturday and teammate Ciskowski turned in a 7-over 79 to round out scoring for UW.
Round 1 - Friday, March 17
Wisconsin women's golf returned to Arizona and tied for 12th place at the MountainView Collegiate following the first day of competition on Friday. Wisconsin finished 2-over after shooting 290 as a team and tied with both New Mexico State and Missouri after the first 18 holes at MountainView Golf Club.
Chloe Chan is currently tied for sixth overall with a 3-under 69 to lead the Badgers on the player leaderboard. Chan finished Friday with five birdies on the back nine, including three on consecutive holes (10,11 and 12) on Friday morning.
Emily Lauterbach is tied for 31st place with several other golfers after shooting an even-par 72 and collected three birdies. Vanessa Ho finished T46 with a 1-over 73 including one birdie on Hole 7.
Nicole Ciskowski finished 4-over 76 (73rd) and Gia Feliciano finished 6-over 78 (82nd) after 18 holes.
