
Torok earns second-team All-America honors

Freshman picks up first career All-America award
MINNEAPOLIS – The 20th-ranked Wisconsin men's swim team completed the third day of the NCAA Championships at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center. The Badgers are 21st in the team race with 27 points after 14 events.

Freshman Dominik Mark Torok earned his first career All-America award after placing 13th in the 400 individual medley. Torok hit the wall in 3 minutes, 41.35 seconds to represent Wisconsin as the only individual qualifier on night three of the championships.Â

The Badgers finished the night off with a 15th-place finish in the 400 medley relay. Wes Jekel, Will Myrhe, Constantin Bensch, and Taiko Torepe-Ormsby hit the wall in 3:05.70, which ranks second on the UW all-time performance list. Jekel, Myrhe and Bensch earn their second All-America honor of the championships after also placing 15th in the 200 medley relay. Torepe-Ormsby earns his first All-America award.

Day four of the NCAA Championship kicks on Friday at 10 a.m. with preliminaries in the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, and the 400 free relay. Finals in all events as well as the 400 free relay begin at 6 p.m. The championship will be streamed on ESPN+.
