Cai wins ITA Most Improved Senior award

Senior posted record season
MADISON, Wis. - Senior Xinyu Cai of the Wisconsin women's tennis team has been named the ITA Midwest Region Most Improve Senior, the organization announced Tuesday.
Cai, a senior from Wuhan, China, set the program's single-season win percentage record with an .894 clip in singles matches this spring. Cai went 17-2, with 15 of her wins coming at the No. 5 position.
The senior went 8-13 last season playing at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, and was 20-20 in singles matches over her first three seasons in Madison.
Cai is the first student-athlete in program history to earn this award from the ITA.
