20 athletes travel to Ann Arbor for weekend competition
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's track and field team continues its indoor season, traveling to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the Michigan Invitational Friday, January 26th through Saturday the 27th. Events begin at 11 a.m. on Friday and will continue at 8:30 a.m. at the U-M Indoor Track on Saturday.
Here are five events to watch this weekend.
1. THROWING DOWN WITH THE BADGERS: Junior Chloe Lindeman will headline the Badger women in the weight throw. Lindeman last competed two weekends ago and is coming off a win in the event with a throw of 72 feet, 7 ¾ inches (22.14m). Lindeman is currently second in the Big Ten and sixth nationally. She will be joined by fellow Badgers Abby Peeler and Chikere Oduocha, who both earned spots on the podium this past weekend at the Red Hawk Opener.

2. SPEEDY BADGERS: Sprint star Kiley Robbins leads the Badgers in the dashes. Robbins is coming off a third-place finish in the 60 meters at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational last weekend, running 7.51. Graduate student Taylor Gilling and sophomore Rachel Robinson will join Robbins, and the three will all compete in the 200 meters.
3. LAPS LAPS AND MORE LAPS: A strong field of distance runners will compete in Michigan this weekend. Juniors Mya Bunke and Leane Willemse led the Badgers in the mile after finishing second and third, respectfully, this past weekend. Bunke finished with a personal best time of 4 minutes, 42.86, while Willemse followed with her personal best time in the event of 4:44.66. They will be joined by four other athletes competing in both the mile and 3,000 meters.

Last weekend, Zinter led the group in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 8.76, while Saleh led in the other two events.
