Badgers close the ITA Kickoff Weekend with a 4-2 win
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 24 Wisconsin women's tennis team battled against Texas Tech in the second round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend hosted by the University of Virginia on Saturday, Jan. 27. The Badgers secured the win 4-2, earning the doubles point and three singles points.
After dropping the dual match yesterday, the team went 1-1 in the ITA Kickoff Weekend.Â
The Badgers triumphantly won the doubles point with No. 2 and No. 3 doubles taking their matches, only contesting a collective 6 sets. Xinyu Cai was the deciding factor, clinching the fourth point, and the win, for Wisconsin in three sets.Â
