Sholokhova secures singles and doubles recognition while the duo earns its second career ITA All-America honor together
MADISON, Wis. - Maria Sholokhova and Lucie Urbanova of women's tennis have earned ITA All-America honors, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Tuesday.
Sholokhova, one of the most decorated players in program history, earned All-America honors in both singles and doubles following a standout 2025-26 season. During the spring singles season, she posted a 15-3 record at the No. 1 position, defeating multiple ranked opponents while finishing the campaign on a 10-match winning streak to earn All-Big Ten First Team honors.
Sholokhova now owns two ITA All-America honors in both singles and doubles.
The doubles pairing of Sholokhova and Urbanova also earned ITA All-America status following their ITA All-American Championship title run during the fall season. After falling in the qualifying round, the duo secured a spot in the main draw and responded with a dominant 5-0 run, defeating No. 3 Bennett/Bowers (Auburn), No. 10 Broadfoot/Osuigwe (NC State), and No. 26 Genis Salas/Xu (Virginia).
The Russian and Czech natives capped their run with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over No. 27 Gilheany/Nahum of Oklahoma to claim the ITA All-American Championship title.
The duo went 2-2 during the spring season before Urbanova was sidelined for the remainder of the year due to injury.
The honor marks the pair's second ITA All-America recognition together.
