Eight Badgers named to U.S. Collegiate Select Team

U.S. set to compete at the Six Nations Tournament in Tampere, Finland, from Dec. 11-15.
MADISON, Wis. – Eight Badgers were selected for the U.S. Collegiate Women's Select Team that will head to the Six Nations Tournament in Tampere, Finland, on Dec. 11-15.
Four Badgers — Lacey Eden, Laila Edwards, Caroline Harvey and Kirsten Simms — join the roster after earning Silver with Team USA at the IIHF Women's World Championship in April.
Casey O'Brien who recently suited up for Team USA in the rivalry series earned a spot as well. They'll be joined by Ava McNaughton, Cassie Hall and Laney Potter.
Wisconsin contributes to the roster the NCAA leading goalscorer in Edwards who leads the league with 13 goals. The collegiate top point-scorers also come from Wisconsin, with O'Brien in first with 29 points and Harvey and Edwards sharing second.
In addition, UW athletic trainer Stef Arndt will serve on the USA Hockey staff.
The Badgers and Team USA will be joined in the tournament by Canada, Czechia, Finland, Switzerland and Sweden. Team USA will open their play on Dec. 11 against Finland at Hakametsä Arena.
