Wisconsin picks up five NCAA "B" cuts
Austin, Texas – The Badgers wrapped up day two of the Texas Invite with five more NCAA "B" cuts and five top-10 times on Thursday night.
Dominik Mark Torok secured an NCAA "B" cut in the 400 IM with a time of 3:43.68, which ranks fourth in the UW top-10 list.Â
In the 200 free, Chris Morris, Yoav Romano and Luukas Vainio all clinched NCAA "B" cuts. Morris' time of 1:34.20 ranks eighth in the top-10 list at UW.Â
Close to an NCAA "B" cut in the 100 breast, Matthew Segal finished with a time of 53.82 which ranks eighth in the top-10 list at UW, while Ben Wiegand's time of 53.87 ranks ninth.Â
Finally, Nathan Welker's time of 47.05 in the 100 back just squeaked in for tenth in the top-10 list and qualified for an NCAA "B" cut.Â
Up nextÂ
The Badgers will conclude the Texas and Georgia Invites on Friday. Prelims in Austin will kick off at 10 am, with finals beginning at 6 pm. In Georgia, dive finals will start at 9:30 am.Â
