
Three Badgers selected for Team Canada Six Nations tournament

Murphy, Venusio, Wozniewicz join development team roster
MADISON, Wis. – Ava Murphy, Emma Venusio and Sarah Wozniewicz were selected for Team Canada's Development Team Roster for the Six Nations tournament, Hockey Canada announced on Tuesday.
Murphy won gold twice with Canada in her under-18 career, once at the 2022 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship in Madison and the second time in 2023 at the U18 Women's Worlds in Östersund, Sweden. Venusio won Bronze at the 2024 tournament as well as gold alongside Murphy in 2023.
Wozniewicz joins the roster after making the Canadian development series against the U.S. last summer.Â
The tournament will occur on Dec. 11-15 in Tampere, Finland. Team Canada will be joined in the tournament by the USA, Czechia, Finland, Switzerland and Sweden.Â
