
Wisconsin wrestling travels to Michigan State Open

Badgers will represent in two divisions
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin wrestling will travel to East Lansing, Michigan, to compete in the 2024 Michigan State Open on Saturday, Nov. 9. The competition will take place inside Jenison Fieldhouse on the campus of Michigan State.

Wisconsin dropped to the Ohio Bobcats, 25-14, last week on the campus of UW-La Crosse. Redshirt Freshman Nicolar Rivera earned his first college pin, giving six points to Wisconsin. Zan Fugitt, also a redshirt freshman, earned the Badgers five points with a TF 16-1.Â
Divisions and Format:
The Badgers will compete in the Freshman/Sophomore Division and Open Division. Each division will be limited to a maximum of 200 wrestlers. The tournament will be a double-elimination event. No team scores will be kept. A maximum of six matches is allowed per NCAA rules.
