Wisconsin to take on Marquette and Notre Dame to open up home competition
MADISON, Wis. - The No. 25 Wisconsin women's tennis team begins home competition this weekend against Marquette, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. and Notre Dame, Feb. 11 at 12 p.m.
1. SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES: Director of Tennis, Jud Shaufler has been with the Golden Eagles for 14 seasons but is currently serving as interim head coach after working as an assistant with the program.Â
The Golden Eagles have won a collective 6 points throughout the season and boast a 0-5 record.Â
2. SCOUTING THE FIGHTING IRISH: The Fighting Irish are coming off a weekend of dual matches against Ball State and Chicago State, where they swept 7-0 and 5-0.Â
The team is on a 5-1 drive with their only loss coming from No. 12 Ohio State.Â
3. THE LAST SERVE: Last weekend, the Badgers traveled down to Austin, Tex. where they fought a tough battle against No. 10 Texas. The Longhorns swept the dual, 7-0.Â
