MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin women's basketball team released its non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season. The non-conference slate includes seven games at the Kohl Center and five away games, including three in Cancun, Mexico, at the Cancun Challenge.
"I am very excited about this season's non-conference schedule! I am confident it will prepare us for the upcoming new look Big Ten season," stated head coach Marisa Moseley. "Our program is committed to picking up where we left off last season and we can't wait for our Badger fans to see all the hard work we have put in during this offseason! It's a great time to be a Women's Basketball fan! Invite new and true-blue fans to come and fall in love with this special group!"
The Badgers open up their season with an exhibition game vs. UW-Stevens Point on Oct. 29. The Pointers were 15-10 in the 2023-24 season.
UW then opens the regular season with two home games at the Kohl Center. First, the Badgers will welcome Wright State on Nov. 5 before going head-to-head with Georgetown five days later on Nov. 10.Â
Wisconsin will then hit the road for the first time of the season to play at South Dakota State. The Jackrabbits are back-to-back Summit League Champions, winning in 2023 and 2024. Going 27-6 overall, they exited the NCAA tournament in the first round, falling 54-68 to Utah.Â
The Badgers return home for a three-game home stand, beginning with a game against in-state rival UW-Milwaukee on Nov. 11 before playing UIC on Nov. 21. Concluding the stretch is a game against Omaha on Nov. 23.Â
Wisconsin will then take to the air and make the trip to Cancun, Mexico, for the Cancun Challenge. Playing three games in the three days, the Badgers will play Providence on Nov. 28, San Diego State on Nov. 29, and VCU on Nov. 30.Â
The Badgers wrap up the regular season with one on the road at Butler on Dec. 11 and one at home vs. Albany on Dec. 20.Â
