
Belgian guard Alicia Courthiau joins Wisconsin

Freshman brings EuroCup and national team Experience to the Badgers
MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin women's basketball adds proven international talent with the signing of Belgian guard Alicia Courthiau.
Courthiau, a 5-foot-10 guard from Belgium, is a rising talent in European basketball who has represented her country at both the senior and youth national team levels while gaining professional experience in European club competition.
Most recently, Courthiau competed for Castors Braine in EuroCup Women during the 2026 season, averaging 13.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game across 10 appearances. She also shot an impressive 57.6% from beyond the arc during the 2025-26 season.
On the international stage, she averaged 14.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game for Belgium at the 2025 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket, and added 7.0 points per game during the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournament, where Belgium finished first. Across her youth national team career, she has averaged 7.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in FIBA competition.
