WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — After two days of competition at the Purdue Fall Invitational, the Wisconsin men's golf team finished eighth place at 15-over par.
The Badgers completed the tournament with an 879 (288-296-295), led by
Jacob Beckman who finished tied for runner-up with a career best 5-under par.
Graham Moody finished tied for 25th place (11-over par) among individual golfers competing in the Purdue Fall Individual.
Indiana claimed the team title finishing 14-under par, while Michael Weber of Miami University (Ohio) paced the individuals at 8-under par.
Monday, September 23
Round 3
Beckman highlighted the tournament for the Badgers, carding a career best 5-under par (75-67-69=211) to finish in a tie for second place overall.
As a team, Wisconsin finished the tournament in eighth place at 15-over par 288-296-295=879.
Indiana claimed the team title finishing 14-under par, followed closely behind by Miami University (Ohio) at 10-under par, then Iowa in third place at 6-over par.
Competing in the Purdue Fall Individual tournament for Wisconsin, Moody led the way tied for 25th place at 11-over par (74-75-75=224)
Sunday, September 22
Round 1 & 2
The Badgers wrapped up the first day at the Purdue Fall Invitational tied for 5th place as a team, carding an 8-over par (288-296=584).
Beckman led the way for the Badgers, finishing the first two rounds tied for fourth place at 2-under par (75-67=142).
William Harned also had a solid first day, finishing the first two rounds tied for 22nd place at 2-over par (68-78=146).
Three Badgers are competing individually in the separate Purdue Fall Individual, as Moody led all Badgers through the first day tied for 25th place at 7-over par (74-75=149).
