1. LAST TIME OUT: The Badgers competed in a pair of meets between the Dr. Sander Invitational and the Fighting Illini Invite—returning to Madison with six first-place finishes combined. The DMR emerged as one of the biggest winners from the weekend, as the combination of Mya Bunke, Emma Kruse, Emma Kelley and Leane Willemse turned in the fastest time in the nation to win the event in New York. Out in Illinois, Kylie Finger won the mile with a time of four minutes, 54.23 seconds, while Elissa Perkins dominated with a leap of 40-0 ½ (12.20m) in the triple jump. Perkins will be back in action this weekend at the Lenny Lyles Invitational.

2. STRENGTH IN NUMBERS: After the first couple of weeks of action, the Wisconsin women's weight throw ranks as the No. 1 unit in the nation, according to the USTFCCCA. The crew is anchored by Chloe Lindeman, who currently holds the school record in the event from two years ago. While she has maintained her momentum, others have stepped up in the process. Taylor Kesner recently posted a throw of 73-4 (22.37m) at the Dr. Sander Invitational, good for second all-time in UW's Indoor Track history behind the aforementioned Lindeman. Chikere Oduocha also found success in the circle, inserting herself at No. 8 in the ranks. In addition to a strong shot put unit, the women's throwing squad continues to set themselves apart from the competition in their 2024-25 season campaign.

3. ROCKIN' ROBBINS: In the past three weeks, Kiley Robbins has earned first place in the 60 meter dash three separate times—continuing to cement herself as one of the top sprinters in UW history. In her final season, Robbins has dominated the competition—priming for a strong postseason run in the next month. The Milwaukee native currently holds the fastest 60 meter dash time in UW Indoor Track history at 7.22 seconds, as she earned an individual Big Ten Championship last year. Robbins will be back on the track in multiple events at the Lenny Lyles Invitational this Friday and Saturday.

4. SETTING THE TONE: Wisconsin enters this weekend as the No. 14 ranked program in the nation, as announced in the first edition of the USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll. They currently rank at No. 1 in the Great Lakes region, currently surpassing five Big Ten teams in the process. The Badgers are fourth in the rankings in the Big Ten, sitting behind No. 1 Illinois, No. 8 Oregon and No. 12 Nebraska.

5. UP NEXT: The Badgers will return to the track next weekend for another pair of meets, this time competing in the DePaul Invite in Chicago and the Millrose Games out in New York. Both events will take place on Saturday, Feb. 8 with times and events to be determined.
