UW is fresh off of their first weekend of Big Ten play, defeating both Rutgers and Iowa to get off to a 2-0 start.

Middle blockers Carter Booth and Alicia Andrew enjoyed strong showings on the front line for UW, combining for 10 kills on 24 attempts with zero hitting errors. Entering this week, Andrew is second in the country in hitting percentage at .491 for qualifying athletes. The senior holds the least amount of hitting errors in the NCAA with five, while Booth sits in second place with nine errors.
Wisconsin took on their first road conference test on Sunday against the Hawkeyes, using their steady offense to power past Iowa at XTream Arena. The Badgers finished the day with a swinging percentage of .381 (49 - 12 - 97) while holding the Hawkeyes to .068 (27 - 20 - 103), marking the fifth time this year that Wisconsin has held their opponents to under .100 on the offensive end.
The Fighting Illini recently took down No. 10 Purdue on the road, entering the UW Field House with an undefeated record. The series is currently tied at 49-49-1, as Thursday's match will tally the 100th time the two programs have met.
