EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 15 Wisconsin women's soccer team opened their Pacific Northwest road trip on a high note with a 1-0 victory over Oregon on Thursday night.
How it Happened
First Half
Wisconsin controlled the pace early, outshooting the Ducks 10–3 in the first 45 minutes and holding a 4–0 advantage in shots on goal.
Despite several close chances, the match remained scoreless heading into halftime.
Second Half
The lone goal of the game came from
Brooke Allen in the 53
rd minute with assist from
Kiara Gilmore and goalkeeper
Drew Stover.
Wisconsin's defense held firm for the rest of the match, and Stover recorded her fourth consecutive shutout and ninth of the season.
Stover's four straight shutouts mark the 10th longest streak in program history, tying the 2019 team that posted four consecutive clean sheets from Sept. 29–Oct. 11.
The Badgers finished with advantages in shots (14-9) and shots on goal (6-2).
